2020 Spring Baseball Registration

Registration closes this friday Feb 28th

If you are planning on playing spring baseball this season, please register before registration closes.

Anyone that registers after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list.

COACHES NEEDED

T-Ball - 3 needed

Rookies - 3 needed

Babe Ruth - 1 needed

Anyone interested in coaching this season please go online and register. We would like to have all coaches in place by the end of February. Please reach out to any of the board members if you have any questions about coaching.

2020 Winter Baseball Clinic Information

Clinic's Dates

Space still available for the Winter Clinics for a reduced rate of $60. To register for this Dirt Dawg Clinic, you must register at Dirt Dawgs the night of the clinic. You must be registered to play in the 2020 Spring season to take advantage of these winter clinics.

2020 Stoughton Youth Baseball Winter Workouts Group 1 (Ages 5-9)

Monday nights 5:00pm - 6:00pm

Remaining Clinic Dates - 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23 and 3/29

Location: Dirt Dawg Sports, 40 Industrial Drive, Canton

2020 Stoughton Youth Baseball Winter Workouts Group 2 (Ages 10-15)

Friday nights 5:30pm - 7:00pm

Remaining Clinic Dates - 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3

Rookie/Minor & Major league Player Evaluations - March 21st

All players that have registered to play in the Rookie/Minor or Major league divisions should plan on attending the evaluation. The evaluations will be used to help assess each players ability with fielding, throwing and hitting. The evaluations are not tryouts. They simply help the league try and maintain competitive balance amongst the players in each division.

Times and age groups

  • 9:00am - 10:00am (Ages 7 - 9)
  • 10:00am - 11:00am (Ages 10 - 12)
  • Location: Dirt Dawg Sports, 40 Industrial Drive, Canton

All players should come with a baseball glove to the evaluations. You can also bring a baseball bat and helmet if you have them. If not, we will have bats and helmets on hand to use during the evaluations.

General information for parents new to the program

T-Ball Information

  • Each team will have 2 games and 1 clinic per week (Mon, Wed & Sat Schedule)
  • Season will begin on Monday, April 27th and end on June 6th
  • The league will provide each player a shirt and hat which they will keep after the season ends.
  • Each player should bring a glove and wear sweatpants or baseball pants to the games and clinic.
    • The league does not recommend players wearing shorts since they will be sliding and running the dirt baselines
  • The league will have bats and helmets for the kids to use.
    • Parents are welcome to purchase a bat or helmet for your child to use instead of using the league provided equipment
  • Bats can be purchased at Dicks Sporting Goods, Monkey Sports or other local/online sporting good stores

4-Year-old Clinic information

  • The clinics are held on Giles field located inside the baseball complex at 100 Elm Street.
  • The season will start on May 2nd with the first clinic being after the parade
    • Starting May 9th, the clinic's will be at 12:30pm every Saturday until June 13th
    • Clinics last one hour and can go an hour and a half depending on how the players are holding up
  • The league will provide each player a shirt and hat which they will keep after the season ends.
  • Each player should bring a glove to the clinics and wear sweatpants or baseball pants.
    • The league does not recommend players wearing shorts since they will be sliding and running the dirt baselines
  • Parents can purchase cleats if they choose, but sneakers are okay as well.
    • No sandals, open toe shoes, or crocks.
  • Parents should also apply sunscreen and bug spray if needed
  • Parents are encouraged to join your child during the clinic and participate.
